What is our life? Is life a game? For most of the people it is like that and we are those people. Just think about what we do: we come home from work, school, college or something like it and….what? – Right, play computer games. We have friends in the game, we have our class (guild) in the game, we have 4-5 people who we are mostly comfortable with (our const party). Isn’t it pathetic? It is, but we don’t think about it, not even for a second. It is more important to go to kill “Секача” instead of to go for a walk, to fitness center or just go out with our real life friends. We sacrifice our sleep time for going to instances. But it is nothing compare to most weird thing (other people would say that) – we pay money for it! :-) We pay money for pixels, nice looking pictures, and opportunity to look cool in legendary gear. We like when somebody sends us a message: “Wow, your gear looks cool, where did you get it?” But we just ignore it, acting like we are better than that. Ask your parents, family members, any other people, who do not play computer games, who do not waste their lives, do they think that its cool? Did you guess what will be the answer? Of course you did, but it doesn’t change anything. We are going to stay on our course, aren’t we? :-) We are going to keep spending money, what ever it takes, just to be better than everybody else. Ask yourself: What for? Who cares? - You? Me? Anybody else? – No, I don’t think so.
Here is what you should try to do: Take a big wall calendar and put it at the place, where you will be able to see it every day, several times. And start cover every day, that you did not do anything important, exciting or value with black paint. And leave other days the way how they are. Start in the beginning of the month and take a look at it in the end. Everything is black, isn’t it? It is your life! You wasted whole month. Continue doing it and take a look in 3 months. Scare? Sad? Do you have enough nerves? Or, maybe you just gave up on your life?
This is not the end. You still can change it. Computer game is a hobby, it is not life, it shouldn’t take most of your free time. Take a look outside – it is summer, the best time of the year. Enjoy it, enjoy your life, but not a game. Life is not a game, there is nobody to resurrect you, heal you or give you a second chance. You are on your own. Just 1 mistake can ruin your whole life or kill you. Think about it. It takes a lot to take yourself in good hands. Can you do it? – I am sure you can. Just don’t give up.
Life is short, remember it. Live every second you have got.
Reading the article, caught myself on a thought, that this game is not a life, judging from my own experience. It's just some kind of rest, some kind of relaxation, the way of changing my mood. Just think about one thing: if I don't like walking the street, if I just don't have enough friends in life to gain enough communication and fun I need....and if all of these things I can receive from the game, I should strain myself not to receive it, and go outside? What for?
About money. If I enjoy the bunch of pixels, and if I want to make that enjoy even better, why shouldn't I pay? In the same way I can spend money anywhere else, without receiving any fun. So I pay for the enjoy, isn't that the right thing to do?
It's just the example, I'm not a kind of person described here.
